Suicidio!" is sung by La Gioconda, the heroine of the opera, in Act IV.
In this dramatic aria, Gioconda is in utter despair. Believing that all is lost and that she has been betrayed by Enzo, she contemplates ending her own life to escape the overwhelming sorrow and hopelessness.
The aria expresses deep anguish, resignation, and tragic nobility.
